Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), officially Willy Brandt Airport, opened in 2020 after a long and complex development process aimed at consolidating Berlin’s air traffic into a single modern hub. It replaced Tegel and Schönefeld airports and now serves as the main international gateway to the German capital.
Located about 18 km southeast of Berlin, BER is designed as a centralized airport, with Terminal 1 acting as the core facility and Terminal 2 supporting low-cost operations. :
