Berlin Airport (IATA:TXL; ICAO: EDDT), or Berlin Tegel Airport/ Flughafen Tegel, is the main international airport of Berlin, the popular federal capital city of Germany. Is the 4th busiest airport in Germany, located in the locality of Tegel, 8 km in the northern part of Berlin city centre.

Must-see attractions:

The Jewish Museum should be definetely a must-see attraction in Berlin. The permanent exhibition provides a comprehensive look at the Jewish people throughout history, with an emphasis on German Jewish history, and on Berlin in particular. The Libeskind building has an extra energy which is difficult to describe but it is definetely something which you’ll keep with you.

Roses Bar in Kreuzberg is a very special spot. It’s worth to visit once its interior and all together the decoration with the environment. This bar combines pink fluffy walls with several different textures. It is a LGBTQ famous spot in Berlin. Their prices are very reasonable considering its location and this cosy environment and energy.

There is another permanent exhibition very recommendable is the Topography of Terror. This must-see exhibition is actual vision of what used to be Nazi headquarters in Berlin: the SS, the Secret State Police, and the Reich Security were all situated in the area. The exhibition is very well documented and there is also an outside exhibition where you can get more information about the Gestapo’s methods of interrogation and torture.

In 2016, Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL) handled 21, 253, 959 passengers. It started its commercial operations in the 50’s, when Tempelhof Airport was too small to handle the ammount of passengers. Air France was the first airline who had regular operations at TXL Airport in the 60’s.
