Berlin Schonefeld Airport (IATA: SXF; ICAO: EDDB), or Flughafen Berlin-Schonefeld (in German), is the second international airport of Berlin, the popular federal capital city of Germany. It is located near the town of Schonefeld in the state of Brandenburg, 18 km away from Berlin city centre. It is the hub for Condor, EasyJet and Ryanair. In 2016, Berlin Schonefeld Airport (SXF) handled 11,652,922 passengers. There are future plans to build Berlin Brandenburg Airport at the Schönefeld Airport location as a bigger airport substitute.
